Physical and chemical properties

Appearance:White or off-white powder, odourless and tasteless.

Granularity:100 days passing rate more than 98.5%:80 months passing rate 100%.

Bulk density:0.25-0.70g/cm3.

Soluble in water and some organic solvents, such as ethanol/water, acetone/water, trichloroethane in appropriate proportions. Solution is surface active. Dissolution in water is not affected by PH value.

HPMC is widely used in building materials, coatings, synthetic resins, ceramics, pharmaceuticals, food, textiles, agriculture, cosmetics, tobacco and other industries. HPMC can be divided into: construction grade, food grade and pharmaceutical grade according to its usage. At present, most of the products produced by MATECEL are construction grade. Among the construction grade, putty powder is used in a large amount, about 90% is used for putty powder and the rest is used for cement mortar and glue.
